Melstock Avenue, Dorchester, Dorset

Planning permission and building regulations of a 2-storey rear extension.

Client Brief: the client wanted to create additional space for the kitchen and dining room that gave access to the garden to increase entertaining space.

Design Solution: with this design it was important to retain and translate the traditional architectural style into the rear extension, so we used reclaimed tiles to achieve this.
The kitchen / dining area opened directly onto the garden with bi-folding doors and a glass roof allowed daylight to flood into this spacious and fluid family and entertainment space.
